NordVPN’s blog just recently released a useful article about scanning for and eventually discovering hidden cameras in hotel rooms and AirBnB dwellings.
The author proposes the use of the flashlight function of the mobile phones to unearth the blueish tone reflected from hidden camera lenses and the use of the FING app that is able to discover clandestinely operated devices connected to the Wi-Fi network.
The author does not elaborate on more refined techniques likely used by state or near-peer actors, but does provide a way to defeat amateurish (like some creepy house owners) surveillance attempts.
Gotta learn – THX for the tip 😊
